The Tremont Medical Center Staff provides urgent care services in a caring atmosphere. We take pride in the work we do, and treat each person as we want to be treated. We are honored that most of our patients come to us by "word of mouth" recommendations from existing patients and community doctors.

If you are having a life threatening emergency, such as severe chest pain, stroke, or major in juries, CALL 911 or go directely to the nearest hospital Emergency Department.

What is Urgent Care?
The first priority when you or a loved one is sick or hurting is always to get help, but you should be aware of the differences between Urgent Care and the Emergency Department.
Urgent care is convenient and professional care for conditions that require quick medical attention, but are not life threatening. Urgent care meets the patient demands of convenience and efficiency while delivering safe, high quality, cost effective medical care.
Urgent care provides quality medical care with significant cost savings over hospital emergency department, or hospital based "fast track/urgent care" units.
Most urgent care centers provide services on a "walk in" basis, and offer extended evening hours.
Continuity of Care:
At your request, the doctor's notes and any test results from your visit at Tremont Medical Center will be sent to your personal physician.
When to Use the Emergency Room:
If you are facing a life threatening situation CALL 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.
These are life threatening, critical conditions that require advanced medical attention:
  • Assault
  • Electric Shock
  • Falls greater than 6 feet
  • Head Trauma
  • Heart Attack
  • Infants less than 6 months
  • Infants with fever greater than 103 degrees
  • Life threatening allergic reactions
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Pregnancy complications
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Severe choking (cannot breathe or talk)
  • Stroke
  • Sudden blurred vision or loss of vision
  • Sudden dizziness, weakness, or loss of coordination or balance
